A room without corners

What shapes does the memory take as it tries to reconstruct the image of the walls and arms that used to hold us? A room without corners is an exploration of the absence and longing. In it, we share tangible expressions of something missing, at once here and not here, creating a house for itself nearby.

A room without corners started as a reflection on Ibrahim’s installation at Perron 1, a house/ijzervlechter. We interpreted the piece seperately, and came together to discuss our thoughts. What resulted as a conversation on mountains and grief, our bodies and the shwelters they inhabit.
